All this craze grew out of nothing more than ignorance, outright bias and unwarranted feelings about nudism and naturism, and was a waste of time and public resources. There was absolutely no signs that any harm had been done to any youngster. If anything, babes attending textile camps were found to be having sexual encounters, with others incurring physical injury from sports and other actions. Youngsters attending nudist camps were joyful, healthy and safe.
In the May 2005 AANR Bulletin, Williamson wrote, Obviously these are no longer remote political attacks on bare diversion, but a combined strategically planned effort to distinguish the family from societal family naturism. These social conservatives believe when they can prevent our children from sharing our wholesome involvement in social family nudism, they could subsequently designate unclothed diversion as just another part of the adult entertainment business rather than the most rapidly growing sector of the travel and resort business.
Nudist and naturist organizations continue to work with policymakers to advocate for naked recreation for all ages.

Stephane Deschenes of Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park concurs. We definitely mustn’t quit on this particular point. Some naturists believe that we should keep quiet so that there will not be any inspection. The truth is, many people criticized AANR for running the (2003 New York Times) report about children’s camps in the first place. I disagree. When you keep something quiet and individuals find out, they may be more likely to be shocked because it’s a surprise. That is why I make sure you will find always lots of pictures of happy kids on all our marketing stuff.
Although Rep. Mark Foley’s approaches failed in Florida, Texas was successful in banning the youth camps, and in Virginia, the requirement that parents or guardians constantly be present effectively killed them in that state, too. Additionally, according to Paul LeValley of the Professors and Researchers Specific Interest Group of The Naturist Society, the amounts of kids overall at the youth camps has plummeted. The only exception is at the Sunsport Gardens Youth Camp, where attendance grows each year. Only two other camps took place last year (2011) in America, one was at Juniper Woods in Nyc, and the other was at Shangri La Ranch in Arizona.
